Dr. Saurav Mitra is the Chief Academic Officer (CAO) and Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics Engineering. He completed his Ph. D. from Electrical Engineering department of IIT Bombay in 2014. He was recipient of prestigious Crompton Greaves Scholarship during Ph.D. Dr. Saurav completed M-Tech degree from SGGSIET, Nanded in instrumentation engineering (2nd ranker in university) in 2006. In 1999, he received Dr. D. Y. Patil Gold Medal from former president Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam for standing First in Shivaji University in Electronics Engineering department.
Research interest of Dr. Saurav includes diverse fields such as wireless sensor networks, instrumentation engineering, system modelling, renewable energy based system design and optimization, advanced control systems, and digital signal processing. Dr. Saurav has published his research work in various national and international journals and conferences. He received special mention for his research work in IEEE-IET International Conference in Athens, Greece in 2012 and IEEEAM International Conference in Prague, Czech Republic in 2011.
