Conferences

2016      

The Conference provided a platform for participants to share ideas, present their research findings in Engineering, Technology and Management and to understand emerging research trends. RACEM 2016 had three sub-conferences:

  • Emerging Trends in Computing and Information Technology (ETCIT)
  • Advances in Electronics, Communication & Biomedical Engineering (AECBE)
  • Impact and Advancement in Management Vertical & Digital Perspective (IAMVDP)
   

At RACEM 2016 we were privileged to have Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Former Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission and Satish Dhavan Chair of Engineering Eminence at BARC as the Chief Guest and Dr. Sulabha Ranade, Director General of SAMEER as keynote speaker.

 

A Valedictory function was also organised after the conference sessions which was presided over by Prof. Vijay D. Vaidya, Executive Secretary, Indian Society for Technical Education-ISTE, New Delhi, and Mr. Abhinav Mishra, Co-Founder, Value3-Advisory, Vienna, Austria , an Alumni of VIT was the guest of honour for the session.

2014      

VIT organized an International Conference on Recent Advances and Challenges in Engineering and Management (RACEM-2013) on April 3-4, 2014. The Conference focused on recent trends in the fields of Technology and Management. Papers were invited on four major tracks, Latest Trends in Electronics and Communication, Computers and Computing, Technology Management and Humanities and Bio Medical & Bio Engineering. The event included various invited talks and research paper presentations on 3rd April 2014 and workshops and hands-on sessions on April 4-5, 2014.

 

The major objective of RACEM-2014 was to serve as an excellent forum to facilitate interaction for an intellectual exchange of ideas among academia, industry and research personnel, standard developers, and practitioners in the fields of Engineering and Management worldwide. The inaugural function was held on 3 April 2014. Dr. Lalit Surajmal Kanodia, Ph.D., MIT, USA, Founder of Datamatics Group of Companies was the Chief Guest. Mr. Suresh Lulla the Founder & Managing Director of Qimpro Consultants Pvt Ltd. had given the keynote address.

2013      

VIT organized an International Conference on Recent Advances and Challenges in Engineering and Management” (RACEM-2013) on January 11-12, 2013. The Conference focused on recent trends in the fields of Technology and Management. Papers were invited on four major tracks Electronics and Communication, Computers, Management and Humanities, Bio Medical and Bio Engineering. The event included various invited talks and research paper presentations on January11 and workshops and hands-on sessions on 12 January 2013.The major objective of RACEM-2013 was to serve as an excellent forum to facilitate interaction for an intellectual exchange of ideas among academia, industry and research personnel, standard developers, and practitioners in the fields of Engineering and Management worldwide. The inaugural Function was held on 11 January 2013. Prof. Dr. Subhasis Chaudhuri, IIT Bombay was the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker. The function was inaugurated by Dr. Subhasis Chaudhuri, Mrs. Sanjeewani Deshpande Chairperson VDT, Acting Principal Prof. Seema Shah, and Conveners for the conference Dr. Anjali Deshpande and Prof. Geetha Narayanan and Prof. Girish Gidaye by lighting a lamp.

2012      

VIT has organized a National Conference on Recent Advances and Challenges in Engineering and Management (RACEM-2012) on March 2,3 2012. The National Conference on “Recent Advances and Challenges in Engineering and Management” (RACEM-2012) was focused on recent trends in the fields of Technology and Management. Papers were invited on the four major tracks of Electronics and Communication, Computers, Bio-medical and Bio-engineering and Management. The event included various invited talks and research paper presentations on March 2 and workshops and hands-on sessions on 3 March 2012. The major objective of RACEM-2012 was to serve as an excellent forum to facilitate interaction for an intellectual exchange of ideas among academia, industry and research personnel, standard developers, and practitioners in the fields of Engineering and Management. The inaugural Function which was held on 2 March 2012 had Dr Kushal Tuckley, Director and Head R &D AVG Systems Ltd. as the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker. The function was inaugurated by Dr Kushal Tuckley, Mrs. Sanjeewani Deshpande, Chairperson VDT, Acting Principal Prof. Seema Shah, and Conveners for the conference Dr. Anjali Deshpande and Prof. Geetha Narayanan by lighting a lamp.

          
2011      

 VIT has organized a National Conference on “Innovations in Electronics, Computers & IT” on 25-26 March 2011.The conference is a forum by which faculty and students can interact with research and technology developments at national level. The conference will bring together the leading engineers and scientists in the field of Electronics, Computers and IT and related fields. The conference will include a number of tutorials and workshops. The Inaugural session was on 25 March 2011.Mr. Milind Padalkar Global head from HCL technologies gave the Keynote address on “Global Market Scenario”.  He spoke on the current market scenario and further elaborated on the teacher’s role in molding the students as per current market requirements. He also spoke about the current requirements for fresher’s in of the Industry and expectations of Industry in the new recruits.

                                                                                                              
2009      

National Conference organized by Vidyalankar Institute of Technology on “Innovations in Electronics and Information Technology “held on 5 and 6 October 2009, received an overwhelming response from the participants all over the country. The conference was inaugurated by Shri. Kavindra Sharma, Vice President and Head Business Consultancy, L& T InfoTech Ltd. The inauguration function started by Lighting of the lamp by Chief Guest Shri. Kavindra Sharma which was followed by the Prayer. The function was anchored by Prof. Uma Jaishankar. Our Principal, Dr. Prashant Sonare welcomed all to the conference. Mrs. Sanjeewani Deshpande, Chief Patron & Chairperson, VDT delivered an inspiring speech, wishing the best of Luck and success of our conference.The technical sessions of the conference commenced from Monday, October 5, in the afternoon.  There were total 3 technical sessions spanning vast areas such as Embedded Systems and VLSI, Software Engineering and Web Applications, RF and Wireless Communications.The second day of the conference October 6, 2009, stated with the sessions on Communication Systems, Signal processing and Image Processing, again at three different venues concurrently.  These sessions were followed by a Keynote speech delivered by Prof. S. N. Merchant, Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department, IIT Bombay, Mumbai.

          
2008      

Vidyalankar Institute of Technology had organized a National Conference on RECENT ADVANCES IN COMPUTERS & COMMUNICATIONS on 29 & 30 September 2008. The event which saw 66 papers being published and 50 papers being presented by participants from all over India proved to be a landmark achievement. It added another feather to VIT’s cap of glorious records. The occasion was graced by Dr. Vijay Khole, Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University who was the Chief Guest of the event. The dignitaries present was Mrs. Sanjeewani C. Deshpande (Chairperson, VDT), Mr. Milind T. Tadvalkar (Director, VDT) and Dr. Prashant S. Sonare (Principal, VIT). The Inaugural Ceremony was attended by invited guests from the University of Mumbai, Principals from engineering colleges in Mumbai, participants of the conference, trustees of VDT, almost all the staff members of VIT, VSIT and VP. Quite a number of students of all the branches were also present for the session. The keynote address for Day 1 on “RECENT ADVANCES IN COMPUTERS was delivered by Mr. Prasad S. Rangnekar, Executive VP & Global Head, Emerging & Embedded Technologies, CMC Ltd. He focused on the older technologies and the evolution of the newer ones from them in recent times and listed out the various measures taken up by corporate head honchos to reduce e-wastes, carbon emissions etc. The keynote address for Day 2 on “RECENT ADVANCES IN COMMUNICATIONS” was delivered by Prof. R.
