Message I would like to give to the students

It was a great experience to gain knowledge from some of the best professors in academic circles in the city. I would like to see VIT amongst the top 5 educational institutions in India. In today's competitive world most of the students and even professors are becoming more exam-oriented. As a result when students complete their engineering and enter the industry they have high percentage but lack the knowledge that is required to grow in industry/field. In my opinion we should adhere to knowledge-oriented approach wherein students not only learn the theory but also understand the application and use of their knowledge in the actual life/industry. VIT surely did help me achieve my goals. As a student I have learnt a lot from my professors. And today when I come here for guest lectures it provides me an opportunity to share my knowledge with the new generation and learn new things from them.

I didn't know how I had to behave just to fit in. But eventually, everything went smoothly. I met wonderful friends who are still my best buddies even till now. College is a training ground on how to be successful and become good people. So, my advice to all my friends at Vidyalankar, enjoy the time you have now. Taking the following lines from the book "The Secret", this is what I truly believe in: "The universe likes speed. Don't delay. Don't second guess. Don't doubt. When the opportunity is there, when the impulse is there, when the intuitive nudge from within is there, just ACT. That's your job!" In this process you are bound to make mistakes but the most important thing is to learn from your mistakes. Life is too short; don't repeat the mistakes but you can make a new one! Explore all the opportunities even the tiniest one, it will surely have something for you. Don't have preconceived notions, always be open to learning!

Biomedical engineering students have a lot of scope in biomedical field after graduation. Campus placements are not the end of the world. Biomedical engineering is a vast field and there is a huge scope for the same. The only essential thing required is to explore and find your way. I was an average student during my BE course. However, I was always inclined towards my field, Biomedical. Today, I feel that I have moved a step ahead towards my dream. My research, on Fighting HIV/ADIS - A low cost flexible Microchip at Harvard Medical, won 1st prize at Bright Future Awards, 2014.

Message I would like to give to the students

VIT has given me the opportunity to learn lot of things. Most of the things were learnt while working in the industry, but the base to learn those things was already set because of VIT. I used to dislike the compulsory presentations that we need to deliver in each class, but those presentations made me comfortable to face large number of people while speaking. Telecom is not just working in telecommunication organization such as Reliance and Vodafone. It is really wide. It also includes working in IT Company and designing the software for telecommunication purpose. You can work in VLSI domain and design chips for devices. You can select software, wireless, networking, security and hardware domain. Just select your area of interest, and move forward in that direction. And main thing enjoy your college days.

VIT offered highly challenging but equally stimulating environment for me to help me develop my career. Thanks to the excellent faculty, my very first encounter with Microprocessor and Microcontroller courses invoked in me excitement and fascination for the field to such an extent that I ultimately decided to pursue Masters in ‘Computer Science’ from University of Southern California. To succeed in industry one should be good at basics and should be ready to come out of one’s comfort zone and accept challenge’s as it comes.

The experienced professors and supportive staff is an asset of the college. They have always being motivated, helpful, giving proper guidance from time to time. In-depth knowledge of topics, ability to create an understanding amongst students about the concerned topics with crystal clear clarity, and an easy approachability concerning the clearance of doubts are some of the qualities of the professors here, which pave a way for a comprehensive learning experience. The library is profound and perspicaciously informative, and the reading room has been luxuriously equipped with air conditioners, thus enabling us students to study in comfort. Summing up, Vidyalankar made all the years of my engineering course extremely memorable, to which I couldn't be more thankful.

Message I would like to give to the students

As a famous quote states 'Ambition is Innate, but the journey needs insight', I completely patronize this thought. Since its inception, VIT has grown by leaps and bounds by taking up many unconventional endeavors for its students. With its elite architectural design, the campus truly brings the corporate feel to the engineering campus. VIT grooms us right from the first year, for the corporate job market, we all are headed for. With its excellent teaching faculty, VIT has always brought out the best in its students. With its association with a large number of highly ranked international universities, VIT has indeed set a high benchmark for colleges across the city. VIT has truly been the 'Wind beneath my Wings' as I continue to fly towards my goals, sky high."
