Student Organizations are formed to draw together people of different ideologies, background to share information and coordinate actions. Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

ACM at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology is affiliated with the International Committee ACM (Association for Computing Machinery). ACM, the world's largest society for computing encourages all aspects of Computing through its international conferences, blogs and huge digital library. VIT ACM committee comprises of students forming the Technical and Event managing teams dedicated to make each event a success. These events include various technical workshops and seminars on many computing fields.   Overall, VIT- ACM is a student beneficiary committee which works effortlessly in keeping the students of our college up to date with modern technological advancements but not eliminating fun aspect in doing so. At Verve 2015, ACM conducted events like Laser Tag, the most popular event, and technical workshop like Ethical Hacking by Sachin Dedhia,CEO of Skynet Solutions.


Other Activities

Some of the committee members attended the All India ACM Summit 2013 held in Chennai. Mr. P.K. Gupta, the director of EMC2 visited our institute. He spoke about the latest trends in IT industry. With his immense knowledge about big data, he inspired the audience on big data; data mining and Hadoop run the industrial world. Seminar on cyber security in IT industries was conducted by Mr. Menny Barzilay, Head IT-Audit Bank, Hapoalim and Mr. Tal Mozes, Leader Hacktics Security Center, EY in affiliation with ACM was a huge success. Workshop on Bootstrap by Mr. Anuj Khandelwal was conducted for the students. on 03-09-2014. Seminar on Linux and its applications was steered for the students.


Information Technology Students Association (ITSA)

ITSA strives to advance the theory, practice, and application of information technology and innovative technology by maintaining a high professional standard among its members. It promotes cooperation and exchange of technical information among its members, and to this end, holds various seminars and workshops, and, through its organization and other appropriate means.


.NET Certification Workshop

Workshop was conducted by Mr. Panchal who is Microsoft certified Trainer. He guided the students on an overall process of .NET certification. Workshop was conducted by using necessary presentations. This course will prepare students for successful careers in industry that meet the needs of IT companies.


Calculator workshop

Workshop was conducted for FE students on the basic operations of scientific calculator which they will require throughout the engineering course.


Gadget Guru Seminar

The Seminar was on the various Android and IOS apps which help them in their daily use. Information on various Android apps such as sleep if u can, pocket aptitude, scientific calculator, ted talks and electroid was presented in the seminar. These apps will help students in studies and placements. Information on the latest gadgets like IPhone 6, Apple Watch and Xiaomi MI4 was given through presentations and video display.
