I was born in a family of sportspersons in Amravati district of Maharashtra. The main lesson of life I learned from my surroundings during my childhood is never to stop oneself from learning and trying new things even in the odd circumstances.

After clearing my SSC exam, I joined the engineering Diploma course where I first developed my proficiency in programing languages like BASIC and FORTRAN and also in the subject of Microprocessor. To get hands on training, I joined Computer training Institute wherein I was offered the role of Instructor for conducting the Laboratory sessions for their students. This job invariably instilled in me the passion for teaching.

Subsequently, I decided to pursue my engineering degree. During my student days, I was also an active participant in the sport of cricket. As a Captain of College cricket team, I led the team to some memorable performances at the University level cricket tournaments. I was also associated with Neharu Youva Kendra (NYK) a government funded NGO, which is a Social welfare organization for the development of youths in the villages. With the association of NYK, I pursued my passion of social work for almost 7 years. During this period, I attended seven national level youth festivals representing the District team.

After completion of my Engineering degree, I joined a MCA college as a lecturer at Amravati and worked for two years. In July 2002, I shifted to Mumbai and joined the Computer Science department of Vidyalankar Institute of Technology, I was fortunate enough to be with an institute from the beginning. Along with this growth of the Institute, my personality has also evolved in terms of enriching experiences as a teacher. The campus of the Institution has made everybody feel like dwelling in a home away from home. In all these years at Vidyalankar, after interaction with so many batches of students, I have come to a conclusion that it is not only the teaching of the subject matter that make a difference, but also the warmth and mentorship of the students which makes the whole experience very special.

As the convener of Career Counselling Committee, I have worked very closely with students and experts. Over the years, this activity has given me a great administrative exposure to satisfy the needs of the students. Hand holding of the students to pursue their career choice path after graduation has always been found to be satisfying.

I feel nourishing of hobbies also has a significant contribution to the holistic development of both students and teachers. My hobbies normally revolve around singing, poetry and literature. Off late, I have even joined Indian classical singing classes in pursuit of one of my hobbies.
