I remember my father’s words, “Smooth seas don’t make skillful sailors” and this hit me hard. I am a versatile, social, action-oriented, enthusiastic and an out-going person. I am born and brought up in Mumbai. I love dancing, exploring new places and listening to music. I also make Herbal soaps.

My teaching journey started just after the last day of my high school. I used to take English Speaking classes in summer vacations. After successful completion of the classes, I started receiving positive response from my students. They even recommended my name to their friends. This made me feel good and I decided to take up teaching as my career.

During my diploma days, I developed a lot of skills that helped me to become a good teacher. I took up various responsibilities and developed my Communication Skills, Creativity, Leadership, and Teamwork.

I have also worked as Technical Trainer. I have trained people in technologies like C, Java, .Net, Software Testing. During this time, I got a chance to go for corporate training for topics like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint etc. I am also awarded as a “Teacher of Developing Era” in one of the International conferences.

After working in the corporate sector for a few years, I joined VIT in 2016. My domains and area of interests are OO Programming, E-Commerce, Software Testing and Image Processing. I teach subjects like C Programming, Java Programming, Python and Ecommerce. I have also conducted workshops on Coding using IDE, Java GUI development, PHP web development and so on. I had also been invited to other colleges for a couple of events as a Judge, Resource Person and as a Trainer. I have successfully completed my certification as a Star Python Instructor.

I engage my students in classroom through lively teaching techniques such as Collaborative Learning, Peer Evaluation, Flipped Classroom and so on. My mantra is “We should be a mentor and not a dictator.” Teaching is my passion and I make sure that students are motivated and encouraged through my chalk and challenges. I believe “Excellence is a Habit.” My ultimate goal is continuous learning and keeping pace with new technologies.
