I come from a family where education is considered as most important ornament. My grandmother being a teacher of a school inspired and cultivated my interest in academics and research. I was inspired by her unconventional teaching techniques, and I have inherited the same passion for innovative ways to teach my students. I was thrilled to enter the Information technology field of engineering to learn and apply my knowledge in this domain.

I am fortunate to be a part of this institute as a faculty, the resources available in VIT has helped me publish my research work as an academician along with exploring new projects to make student Industry ready. Under my guidance students have published papers in IEEE conferences; they are also doing Internship in different companies which also help them get good placements. Mentoring the students for doing research and making them technically strong is very important in current day and age; here at the VIT, the teaching-learning environment is excellent and I contribute by imparting the students with high-quality outcome-based education.

I have taught subjects like Database, Algorithms, Programming Methodologies, Networking to name a few. I keep learning new technologies and software programming to encourage the students to keep working in laboratories which are very well equipped here at VIT. I have research interests in domains such as Web Programming, Cloud Computing, and Android Development among others and do participate UG projects in these fields.

I am an active lifetime member of ISTE (Indian Society of Technical Education) and I encourage students to be a part of Chapters of Professional bodies, Technical forums and many events to enhance their technical knowledge and skills. I have organized many technical events, research conferences, student development programs, and value-added courses as being part of professional chapters. I have also delivered technical talks as a speaker and trainer in various programming and technical events. I have achieved Google Certification as a Professional cloud developer, AWS educator, and also achieved many other professional certifications. I utilize this knowledge for the technical benefit of my students.

I am a certified artist and a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. I continue to find time for my hobbies even today as I believe these are helpful to de-stress oneself and I encourage my students for the same. I feel students are more energetic and can give their 100% to studies if they rejuvenate themselves and a hobby is an effective tool of relaxation for them. I believe and hence mentor my students that holistic development is important in one’s life. Innovation, team spirit, and entrepreneurship fundamentals should be built with a joyful pursuit of excellence.
