I have grown up listening to all wonderful stories, as told by my mom, about how teaching is a Nobel profession. She has been a teacher and I always admired her zeal and passion for sharing knowledge and wisdom while teaching. She has always been my source of inspiration to take up teaching as my career.

I first realized my interest towards teaching, when I used to do group studies with my friends. I always put more effort on learning the concept and making it simpler with examples to understand it well. After completing BE, I had two options, either to join industry or take teaching as a profession. I chose to pursue teaching as my profession and decided to do ME. I am one of the alumni of VIT and I'm very grateful to all my VIT teachers who inspired me in this journey of becoming a teacher.

Over the course of five years, I have taught various subjects in the domain of security, software Testing and software engineering project management. My focus is always on simplifying the difficult concepts, giving more realistic examples and having a two-way communication with students. I think ideas should be shared and there must be healthier relationship between students and teachers. I have also been a part of various organizational teams for the technical and non-technical events like short term training programs, Alumni Meet, Graduation day and so on. I strongly believe that teaching can be made more impactful, if we use modern innovative techniques.

I usually employ various classroom techniques like quizzes, or role play activities for subjects like project management; so that students can participate more and have fun while learning the concepts. Many of my project groups have successfully published their research papers and one of them has even been presented in the reputed IEEE conference.

Being a creative person, I always try to blend creativity in my way of teaching. I have interest in photography, crafts, and DIY activities. I am a firm believer of ‘Learn Earn and Return’, hence I think a professional teacher’s job is much more than just teaching. It is also about inspiring the students, developing connect with them and make them a good human being.
