Teaching Experience: 24 Years

While pursuing my education, I was tutoring students in my neighborhood, which developed a passion in me to pursue teaching as a career. In my school days, Physics was my favorite subject, which inspired me to take-up the engineering career. I successfully completed my engineering degree securing 4th rank in the University of Mumbai. My strong thirst for knowledge urged me to take further education and complete ME from COEP, Pune followed by Ph.D. from VTU, Karnataka with utmost dedication and determination.

I always believed that as an engineer, theoretical study is of lesser significance, so I started working in the corporate sector. I worked in Patheja Forging Company, Aurangabad and Cummins Generator Technologies, United Kingdom. This industrial experience was a great learning curve. I was actively involved in building novel test rig to test Electric generators of 500KW -1500KW rating, under severe fault conditions. I solely contributed in execution and analysis of the test data of generators. Based on test data analysis, further modification has been implemented in generator manufacturing across the globe.  As a teacher, I have taught several engineering courses in different universities across India for over 2 decades. Till now, I have guided 20+ student’s projects at the BE and ME level. Based on their project work, I motivated and tutored them to publish papers in reputed Conferences and Journals. I have research interests in multiple domains such as renewable energy sources, smart grid, micro grid electric vehicle and intelligent control. As an enthusiastic researcher, I am contributing to research community by working as reviewer for the reputed journals.

Apart from being a hardcore academician, I love nature walk, gardening and exploring new places. I have travelled to many places in India as well as abroad. I meet and connect with diverse cultural groups and people of varied ethnicity. This has helped me to develop a broader perspective, flexibility, open mind and adaptability.
