I was born in the city of oranges, Nagpur. A city characterised with high temperature and its unique logistic advantage – it divides the country in equal halves, both vertically and horizontally. Born to a family of limited means, I had to make ends meet with the limited resources at my disposal. The everyday struggle has been a part of my life; so much so that I believed I can’t live a carefree life. Given the struggle that I have had to go through, the taste of success has been more than rewarding. I believe that my background in Engineering and Management has prepared me for such a career. I have found research fascinating since my Engineering days, when I decided to select Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) as my topic for undergraduate dissertation; and was judged to have presented the best topic at the Departmental seminar. My Engineering education has provided me with a strong grounding in operations and scheduling. I joined Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies and Research, Nagpur in order to broaden my perspective and to improve my career prospects in academics. I took on the most challenging assignments and found how exciting the world of Human Resources could be. I especially loved my Research Methods class, which helped me understand data and gave me my first glimpse into the world of research.

MI am currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Studies. I also coordinate for industry institute tie-ups. This task involves looking into the needs of corporates to make students industry-ready with the help of organizing functional specialization summits, panel discussion, industry certifications, live projects and student exchange activities. At Vidyalankar, I am regularly coordinating with professional bodies such as AIMA, BMA, IMC, CII, Yi, and MEDC.

Prior to my career at Vidyalankar, I used to work as an Assistant Professor at leading Management institutes in Mumbai. I was actively involved with District Rural Development for the last five years for organizing state level exhibitions along with various government bodies for creating a marketplace for buying and selling of homemade products made by women Self-Help Groups (SHGs).

I am a certified Examiner for IMC Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Award Examiner to assess Indian organizations against the Performance Excellence Model. I authored a book titled “Performance Management Practices for IT Companies”. I have published several research papers in national and international journals of repute. I have successfully conducted six days Faculty Development Programme titled “Nuances of Research Methodology and Data Analysis using SPSS & Excel” and faculty workshops on “How to write Research Paper and selection of topic for Academic Research” for Management faculty and research scholars.

I am equally comfortable working as a member of a team and independently. I regularly seek student feedback to make sure I understand the students' experiences of my classes. I incorporate emerging technologies, as appropriate, to enhance learning and encourage students to understand which types of learning are facilitated and which types are inhibited by different approaches, as I support them in becoming "life-long learners."
