As a child , I always had the zeal to excel in my academics. During my schooling days, I heard about the various upcoming subjects like Computer science, Electronics and Communication although I was not very much aware of the same. The formal introduction to the subject of Electronics materialized when I joined college and completed Diploma in this domain. During my knowledge sharing sessions with my peers while pursuing my diploma, an affinity towards the teaching process was initiated.

It was during the days of my graduation in Computer Science Engineering, I realized that teaching a subject like Computer science is a blend of knowledge, skill and art. In October 2000, when I got the opportunity to join VIT, I did not hesitate to take the decision as it appeared to be the perfect platform to launch my teaching career. With a supportive management, I got every possible opportunity to grow along with this very progressive institute. Even though maintaining my self-development with the fast-paced growth was a challenge, I enjoyed the process of synchronization which in turn helped me reach the position I am in today.

The enriching experience of teaching and learning was also a self-discovery of my interests in technical areas. Though, I have taught various subjects of computer engineering, but every time I teach a subject, I find that I learn something new in it through the doubts and discussions with students. This keeps the student in me alive along with being a teacher.

Another secret of mine is that I am a lover of different types of cuisines. I have travelled to corners of Mumbai to eat tasty food and have interest in cooking it too, whenever I am on holidays – even though it may be a conventional weekend. Even during my classes at VIT, I often try to relish the variety of dishes available at the institute’s multi-cuisine food court. Truly, the passion of teaching and learning in this ambience makes VIT a perfect place for everyone in years to come.
