I was fascinated by observing various leaders around me executing their works in their domains with expertise since my childhood. The dream of becoming a leader one day; landed me in the teaching field. I started my academic career from the polytechnic level. Today I take great pride to teach, guide and mentor graduate and post-graduate students related to my technical domain. I owe this success to my post graduate supervisor, who inspired me to pursue research in the domain which I had just little idea before! I am a part of this institute from the past 9 years.
My research interests include open source IoT programming and hardware interface, design and simulation of radiating systems, mathematical computing/ modelling, and data management tools. I have also developed Semi-metamaterial superstrate structure for microstrip antenna for its performance enhancement, space fed high gain antenna for wireless A/V transceiver systems during my post graduate research work in collaboration with industry.
Recently, working with my undergraduate students enabled me to successfully complete the project namely, Controlled Environment Ecosystem which involved fully automated system to harvest botanical medicinal plants. In other titles, our group of students successfully implemented a portable system for monitoring and controlling the air quality to reduce detrimental effects on human respiratory health, and podiatric management system was another project which cater to the assistive need for medical practitioners dealing with abnormalities in human locomotor anatomy estimated via IoT sensor interfacing.
I always try to represent my teaching subjects in the most convenient and comprehensive way so that, there is ease of understanding these subjects while studying. I published my first book on Microwave Engineering for the Mumbai university syllabus in 2015, which gained high popularity among the students for its comprehensiveness. In the coming years, my emphasis will be on the development of multimedia based digital contents for the subjects assigned to me. I recommend the use of learning management systems and online tools for assessments, which ensure its effectiveness and better student learning engagement. I am always interested to pursue and guide project development work in my interested domains being fascinated by the ideas of my students.
