IQAC

Rationale

According to the guide lines given by NAAC, the Institute has established Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 26th December 2013. The Institute’s Technical Advisor Dr. Sangeeta Joshi is IQAC coordinator. To achieve the stated vision the institute requires the sustainable model for the effective implementation of quality policy and plans. The IQAC ensures that various policies related to quality education and infrastructural development are created and executed to meet quality objectives. The IQAC has been formed as per NAAC IQAC guidelines. The IQAC has become the part of Institute for the quality enhancement and sustenance. In pursuance of action plan for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality up-gradation of institutions of higher education, the meetings of IQAC are conducted semi-annually and proceeding of the meetings are maintained.

Objective
  1. To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic, infrastructure and administrative performance of the institution.

  2. To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices


Functions
  1. Development of Quality Culture in the institution.

  2. Acting as a nodal point of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities.

  3. Development and application of quality parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.

  4. Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.

  5. Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.

  6. Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.

  7. Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.

  8. Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement.

  9. Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for enhancing the institutional quality.


Composition of IQAC

IQAC is constituted in the institution under the Chairmanship of the Principal with Vice Principal, Chief Academic Officer, Technical Advisor, heads of the department, Representative from VDT, Student representative and a few distinguished educationists and stakeholders.

The composition of the IQAC is as follows:

  4. Technical Advisor – Director of the IQAC
  5. Five teachers
  6. One member from the Management
  7. One nominee from local society, Students and Alumni
