Engineering is not just my passion but, a way of life. Born and brought up in a Maharashtrian family, I was always inspired by my parents and teachers to take a career in teaching. I always had a good academic record and a skill to connect with students and understand the requirement of the youths being one on the other side of the table.
After graduation immediately I got an opportunity to join Vidyalankar Institute of Technology as a faculty member. This marked the beginning of a remarkable new journey. The experiences at Vidyalankar were exhilarating, as I was surrounded by a crowd of positive energy and intelligence.
My teaching and research today mainly revolve around Circuit design, Microwaves, Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Remote Sensing. Project based learning (PBL), paper reviews, quizzes, webinars, and online presentations have been the key features of my courses. I have guided several projects. Many have won several awards in various project competitions. Few noteworthy projects are “Multipurpose Signal Analyzer and Function Generator”, “Coin Based power outlet system”, “V-Dispense”, and “E-Bin – A Garbage monitoring system”.
I am currently associated with Center of Excellence for IoT at VJTI, Mumbai. I am also privileged to be a member of various committees of the University of Mumbai. My hobbies are travelling, listening to Indian classical music, and reading books. I like to be with students, and I have certainly found my passion for teaching.
