Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”, a quote by Nelson Mandela has always been an inspiration in my journey of being a better teacher each coming day. Teaching is my passion since childhood. I used to love playing games involving character of teacher where I used to teach a bunch of my friends whatever I studied in school. I was always keen on learning new things (specially in studies) and was among the first three toppers throughout my schooling. I completed my HSC from Ruia college which again had a concrete environment for studies as well as extra-curricular activities.

I was bit confused between Occupational therapy and Biomedical Engineering after 12th, but with inputs from cousins, encouragement from my parents and sister and exploration of Biomedical course, I decided to opt for it. I completed my BE (Biomedical Engineering) and was recruited in Infosys through campus placement where I worked for 1.5 years. As I was keen in pursuing career in Biomedical field and zealous about teaching, I quit the job of Infosys and did ME in biomedical engineering and then joined in Vidyalankar college as Assistant Professor in 2015. I have taught subjects related to my areas of interest like Biomechanics, Prosthesis & Orthosis, Lasers and Fiber Optics, Digital Electronics, IOT in medicine, Biomedical Instrumentation to name a few. I have been a part of Alumni committee where I got to interact with bright and enthusiastic alumni, website committee, BMSA, internship where I actually got to tap the potentials of students and work with eager minds on fresh ideas.

Just as I was engrossed in taking my career to newer heights, life had some other plans for me and that was when I had to take a break in my career and leave VIT in 2019 after the birth of my daughter. I continued my journey of learning and took up biology of NEET to teach in small classes which were online during the dreadful phase of corona. But my interest in Biomedical field led me to prepare for PhD entrance Test and currently I am pursuing PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Mumbai University. I am working on deriving beat-to-beat blood pressure variability using the concept of pulse arrival time. I am lucky enough to be a part of Vidyalankar family one again after almost a gap of 5 years.

On the personal front, I am a very calm person (atleast that is what people say) and strongly believe that sincerity in work and support from loved ones can help you climb the ladder of success. For me music is the best stress reliever and dance is something which I wish to learn and do till anatomy and physiology of my body permits. I would also like to continue the process of learning where the coming generations would inspire me to do more and better.
