Hailing from a family where it was very difficult to manage daily expenses and education was a secondary requirement, my mother taught me to become an independent and self-motivated person. From my childhood, I had worked in different industries and shops. My teacher, Mhaieskar Sir, managed my expenses in 10thstandard. I do remember, my first interaction with Mr. Shinde, engineer by profession, who inspired me to become an engineer and help me to prioritise education in life and also develop a relentless passion in me to accept the engineering challenges.

The dream came into reality, when I secured admission in BE, Electrical Engineering to Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad. I was engrossed in my favourite subjects like engineering mathematics, electrical machine design and system analysis. During BE, I enjoyed practicing application of mathematics in Electrical Engineering. I took tuitions for my juniors in mathematics and analytical subjects to manage my expenses at Aurangabad. I completed BE in 1988 with distinction. I came to Mumbai in 1988 and joined my first job at Parikh Electronics, Andheri. I enjoyed the corporate culture and this exposure helped me to improve my communication skills. After a year, I realized that my passion is not to work as a sales & service engineer, but to play around Applied Mathematics. I took up noble profession and joined engineering college as a lecturer. I taught analytical subjects of different branches like Basic Electrical Engineering, Electrical Network Analysis Synthesis, Control System and Signals & Systems. Besides, teaching, I also participated in department activities and committees like faculty development, Student Council, organizing seminars, workshops, and placement cell activities. In order to upgrade knowledge and to continue the passion of learning, in 1998, I took admission in ME (Electrical Engineering) at prestigious VJTI, Mumbai. I was fortunate to work under the guidance of Dr. Nandini Jog for PG project. I was influenced by Dr. Bhagwat & Dr. N. M. Singh through their teaching style and topic delivery. It changed my way of thinking and approach in solving the technical problems.

From 2007 onwards, my journey with Vidyalankar Institute of Technology, Mumbai started and was reinvigorated by my association with Department of Electronics Engineering. Teaching of analytical subjects to students of different departments at VIT further reinforced my teaching and learning. The satisfaction that I get, through teaching is beyond any other materialistic pursuits in life for me. For an overall holistic development of a student, I belief it is important that they participate equally in co-curricular and extracurricular activities. With this objective, I also worked as a cultural committee Head for Student Council. I take initiative in guiding the students not only in the technical domain, but also in development of life skills. No matter what adversities come, I urge all to be resilient and unfazed enough to transform them to opportunities.

I always tune myself with the latest advancements in teaching technology and nature of subjects. From my experiences, I have learnt that perfect planning, discipline and a tremendous will power in the tasks undertaken, ensure the best outcomes in life.
