Mr. Milind Tadvalkar

Director, Vidyalankar Educational Campus, Wadala

Milind Tadvalkar is the Director, Vidyalankar Dnyanapeeth Trust, and oversees the smooth functioning of all the three colleges at the Vidyalankar Educational Campus (Wadala, Mumbai) namely Vidyalankar Institute of Technology, Vidyalankar School of Information Technology and Vidyalankar Polytechnic. Backed by 30 years of academic and managerial experience, he is a technocrat in the true sense and his efforts are widely recognized for his unique technology-based turnkey projects throughout his career. Passionate about software programming and product design, he has developed many customized computer applications for the Vidyalankar campus, such as a comprehensive MIS which is utilized in multiple academic and administrative functions. He has successfully handled a number of challenging technical projects on behalf of the Government of Maharashtra; for instance, the fully computerized Centralized Admission Process which is implemented for engineering admissions across Maharashtra.

An academic achiever, he bagged the first rank in both LTM and B. Tech. (Textile Technology) from VJTI, winning awards for excellence, and also won accolades while pursuing his M.Tech. from IIT (Delhi). He believes that Engineering is one of the best professions, but along with developing a flair for technology, it is equally important that one should explore a hobby in art or culture which can bring enrichment in life. He enjoys working in close association with students and faculty while integrating current technologies in campus-incubated projects such as vPrint, vMIS, vAttendance, and art and culture-oriented initiatives such as Alila - a platform for creative art forms, and Swaralankar - a solo singing competition. He shares: “A true engineer is one with hands-on technical skills; one who can visualize and design practical solutions and applications. I feel energized by the enthusiasm of bright young minds and love to guide them in nurturing their innovative technical and creative ideas.”
