Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) for Waste Water Generated at Campus
VIT is environmentally conscious and has installed its own STP (Sewage treatment Plant) to take care of waste water generated at campus
Composting Plant for the Wet Waste from Canteen
VIT supports the idea of clean and green campus and therefore dustbins are installed at proper distance covering the entire campus to prevent littering of waste.
Installation of e-Waste Collection Bin, e-Waste Collection Drives at VIT
Institute makes efforts to minimize e-waste. Non-working computers, monitors and printers are discarded on a systematic basis. 70% of monitors used by Institute are LCD to reduce e-waste.
Plastic Awareness Campaign
A Plastic Awareness Campaign was conducted at VIT by Green VIT Club to create awareness about the hazards of plastics and impart knowledge among students and staff about the reduction and re-use of plastics and to motivate stakeholders to look for alternatives to plastic and contribute towards preserving the environment by reducing plastic pollution.
