Curriculum
Vidyalankar Institute of Technology is seeking autonomy for six key programs to provide students with greater academic flexibility, allowing them to adapt to the fast-evolving technological world. The proposed curriculum will focus on self-pacedlearning, promoting student ownership and enhancing competency levels across diverse strengths. By offering professional electives, open electives, and minor degrees, institute aims to align education with industry needs, fostering employability and innovation. The inclusion of interdisciplinary courses like Design Thinking and Yoga, along with internships, will ensure holistic development. Autonomy will also empower faculty to design customized courses and evaluation methods, moving towards a competency-based, formative assessment system, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP). This shift will focus on outcomes, enhancing students’ readiness for higher education, employment, or entrepreneurship. Through autonomy, institute plans to create an inclusive environment for diverse learners and encourage research, creativity, and collaboration. Ultimately, it will foster a culture of independence, enabling students to excel in their future careers
