Harsh Mittal

I was born and brought up in Mumbai and was blessed to complete my schooling and junior college in the prestigious and scenic Atomic Energy School and College in Anushaktinagar. In all my years at school and college, I was very active in cultural and sports activities. After junior college, I joined MIT Pune for my Bachelors in Engineering. In 1994, after my engineering I worked for 2 years in a multinational set up in production and inventory management. 

In 1996, I decided to pursue my MBA in Marketing and post that I have had an illustrious corporate career, working across different industries in multiple roles in brand management, research, product management, sales, events, PR and more. I started my career as a brand executive and moved up the corporate ladder with my last assignment as National Vice President, sales and marketing. I am a passionate marketer and I have consistently delivered results through focus on strategic thinking, flawless execution, and effective team management. The last 17 years of my career have been media in print, radio, digital and TV. 

I always believe that you can do well by doing good. In 2024, I had the privilege to join a reputed academic institution like Vidyalanakar Institute of Technology. I always wanted to become a mentor and share my experience and wealth of knowledge with students to guide them towards building a bright future. In my role here at Vidyalankar, I am working towards this and also building a thought-leadership institute brand, high on academic excellence and integrity. We are serious about creating future leaders from this institute who have the right life values. I believe that there is no secret recipe for success but it boils down to consistent hard and smart work, a strong self-belief in oneself and a positive attitude to never give up. As they say the best way to predict the future is to invent it.
